PokerStars has released the schedule for the New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker (NJSCOOP), which will run April 14th through April 30th, only on the New Jersey version of PokerStars (as the name would imply). There are 40 events this year, split into high and low buy-in variations, an increase of five events from last year. More than $1.3 million is guaranteed across all tournaments.

Looking at the schedule, most games are of the No-Limit Hold’em flavor, but as always, there is something for everyone. The “high” buy-in events tend to be in the $100-$200 dollar range and go as high as $1,000, while the “low” buy-ins are typically one-tenth of the high buy-in.

The No-Limit Hold’em Main Event is $500 on the high end and $50 on the low end with $200,000 and $30,000 guaranteed prize pools, respectively.

As a juicy bonus, the winners of each of the Main Events will also receive a $30,000 Platinum Pass package for the PokerStars Player’s NL Hold’em Championship. This includes the $25,000 buy-in for the tournament, six nights’ accommodation at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, as well as expenses.

PokerStars is giving players loads of opportunities to win seats for the Main Event on the cheap:

Special NJSCOOP Spin & Go’s

These $4 buy-in Spin & Go tournaments work the same as regular Spin & Go’s except that the top prize is an NJSCOOP Main Event High ticket. There are four multiplier levels with probabilities as follows:

2x ($8 prize) – 741,425 in 1,000,000
4x ($16 prize) – 232,225 in 1,000,000
6x ($24 prize) – 24,500 in 1,000,000
125x (NJSCOOP Main Event High ticket) – 1,850 in 1,000,000

Main Event Freeroll Challenge

Starting Friday, March 30th, players can complete the easiest of challenges to earn a ticket into one to four weekly freerolls. All players have to do is play in one real money cash game hand or one real money tournament. That’s it. Once completed, the player will be awarded a freeroll ticket. The freerolls take place April 6th, April 13th, April 20th, and April 27th. Players can win tickets for each freeroll.

First prize in each freeroll is an entry into the Main Event High, with places two through nine receiving seats into the Main Event Low.

$8,000 Satellite Ticket Giveaway

This one is a bit more convoluted. Players who play in any of the following events will receive a ticket to play in an All-In Shootout satellite the next day:

• Event 03 – $30 (L)/$300 (H) NLHE
• Event 06 – $20(L)/$200 (H) NLHE Win The Button
• Event 16 – $10 (L)/$100 (H) NLHE Deepstack 6-Max
• Event 21 – $35 (L)/$350 (H) NLHE
• Event 24 – $30 (L)/$300 (H) NLHE 4-Max

Each low buy-in All-In Shootout will award 40 $10 satellite tickets and each high buy-in All-In Shootout will award 12 $100 satellite tickets. Since these are All-In Shootouts and players are put all-in automatically on each hand, players need not be present or even logged in to participate as long as they have been awarded a seat; PokerStars will register players without the need for manual intervention.
