PokerStars

Even as the huge PCA event is taking place in the Bahamas, PokerStars is working to run interesting live tournaments in all parts of the world, and it has been successful at it in most parts of the world thus far. One tour that was definitely missing was in North America, which has finally become a reality. Only the first two stops after the PCA have been announced, but more details will be released as the year progresses.

The first official stop in the tour will take players to the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas for a $5K buy-in event at the end of the Deep Stack Extravaganza Series that the casino will be hosting. The following event will take place at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, where the festivities will take place from April 7th through the 11th.

PokerStars also mentioned that the events will be filmed by 411 Productions, the team that films the WSOP and other important events around the world.

PokerStars wants to fill the demand for poker on TV as well as the demand for quality live tournaments around the North American Continent. The tour will most likely visit Canadian territory, helping to bring new talents to the spot light as the popular card sport spreads throughout the world.

When the tournament hits TV screens across the world, the host will be Ms. Joanna Krupa.

PokerStars has already added freerolls into the first event at the Venetian Casino so players can start taking shots at winning a seat for zero dollars.
