Leave it to PokerStars to come up with another “COOP” tournament. The world’s largest online poker room and king of the online poker tournament series has announced its newest offering, the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP). Filled exclusively with turbo and hyper turbo tournaments, TCOOP will kick off January 19, 2012 with the first of 50 events, culminating with the $700 NL Hold’em Main Event on January 29.
Like all of PokerStars’ “COOP” tournament series, a wide variety of game and tournament types will be represented, from Hold’em and Omaha to Stud and mixed events, re-buy tournaments, knockout tournaments, six-max, heads-up, and more. There are even a few low buy-in events, costing just $5.50 or $11 to enter, so there should be something for everyone. Across all 50 tournaments, $10 million in prize money will be guaranteed, with $1.5 million guaranteed for the Main Event.
Of course, as always, there will be qualifying tournaments running constantly at PokerStars so that players can enter the more expensive tournaments on the cheap.
