PokerStars and FOX Sports have partnered for a new TV show called Million Dollar Challenge. It’s a chance for any PokerStars poker player to hit the spot light and play poker on TV against one of the best poker players in the world, Daniel Negreanu; who has more than $11 million in live tournament earnings as well as 4 WSOP bracelets. All PokerStars players will be able to participate; all they have to do is enter one of the daily Million Dollar Challenge freerolls and finish in the top 10 positions. After that, players must make a video explaining why they should be on the show. The chosen player will face off against PokerStars Pros and other celebrity poker players. If the player beats the previous opponents, he or she will advance to face off Daniel Negreanu in a final heads-up match.
In other news, the PokerStars Sunday Million that took place on August 24th was won by tysonduke23 for $225,000, in second place was Faraday for $165,555 and the 3rd place winner was shawry5 for $120,000. Also on Sunday was the Sunday Warm-Up which had a $750K guaranteed prize pool. The 1st place winner was calvo1989 for $122,805, in second place was Payacan for $91,517 and in 3rd place was Dsavo for $64,532.
