PokerStars’ Spring Championship of Online Poker kicked off with a bang yesterday as 6,738 players showed up for the mid-stakes version of Event #1. When the dust settled, Dantes_11 emerged victorious, taking home $203K for his efforts. Fohle140586 lost the heads-up battled and settled for $142K, while Revjot took third for $101K. The rest of the final table was rounded out by sebbau ($61K), Ronando29 ($33.9K) and berryfilled ($20K).
The high-stakes version of Event #1 was a $2100 buy-in that generated a massive $1.6 million prize-pool. At the end of play, BadcardsAA came out on top to the tune of $277K. Losing the heads-up match was baloo1962 who took $204K for second, while ArbahChamesh grabbed $157K for third. The rest of the final tables were heißtercamp ($110K), Taknapotin ($78.8K), and teaccuppoker ($47K).
The $22 low-stakes Event #1 attracted 27,305 players. After over 15 hours of play, hexchen3006 finally took it down, adding $57K to his PokerStars account. Settling on $41K for second was ffmm67, while lark465 took third for $24K. The other final tablists included Soulman1980 ($10.9K), maks75757575 ($5.8K), and dyeti ($4K).
