PokerStars

Known as the online poker site that listens and looks after its customers, PokerStars has done it again, implementing changes to its VIP club to benefit the players even more. The company is constantly looking at ways to improve and increase member benefits, and they are announcing more changes (effective October 1st) to reward all players for their commitment to the site. These changes come from customer’s feedback and suggestions on how they feel the VIP club could improve.

PokerStars VIP manager, PokerStars Steve, made the official announcements on popular internet poker forum twoplustwo.com. There are two major changes taking place:

Firstly, VIP reward bonuses that are purchased form the VIP store will instantly reward the player with cash. Before this, players had to earn VPPs equal to 7 times the dollar amount of the bonus they are trying to clear before the rewards was credited to their account, this is no longer the case. A relief for many players, as it has made the process of clearing some cash bonuses much quicker and easier.

The second major change carries on from the “MicroMania” promotion PokerStars ran in July rewarding players at No Limit and Pot Limit cash tables of .05/.10 and below. Now, players at these limits can earn VPPs at a faster rate than any other stake. Those rates are:

$0.01 / $0.02 – 12x
$0.02 / $0.05 – 10x
$0.05 / $0.10 – 8x

Changes like these really give players at the lower limits the opportunity to fast track their growth by achieving higher VIP statuses faster and clearing more cash bonuses to build their bankroll and move up in the limits.

These new rates will stay in effect until December 31st this year, but who knows what PokerStars will have up their sleeves after that?
