RedKings Poker

This past weekend was quite busy for the 5th largest online poker network.  The Ongame network hosted the final of the Grand Series of Poker III which had a guaranteed prize pool of $300K. Four weeks prior to the tournament, RedKings and all its sister sites hosted a large number of satellites and qualifiers that promoted the series of events that awarded over $3 million.  The main event that was hosted this past Sunday October the 18th had a $5K buy-in and brought hundreds of players to the virtual felts.

As play progressed in the tournament and the final table was reached, RedKings player Mike McDonald kept a low profile, but when there were only four players in the table, things started working out for McDonald and he rapidly increased his chip count.

McDonald managed to take down the event and win the $150K prize for his effort.  Even though he only started playing poker for a living six months ago he has gathered plenty of experience and has accomplished important wins at two different poker events, the first one was at the European Poker Tour where he won $1.3 million and at the start of this year he won the 1st place prize in Dortmund.  His total earnings in live tournaments exceed $2 million.

The next Grand Series of Poker events will award more than $15 million.
