CardRunners brings an exceptional theory video about the art of telling a story with every action you take during a hand at the tables. The video was created by Marshall28 and we’ve got a great snippet of it for you to enjoy. Here’s the official teaser:

Classroom – The Art of Storytelling

Every hand is a puzzle, a series of pieces that need to fit together. Which means that every bet, every dollar, every second is part of a story. And now it’s time to become a master storyteller. Join Marshall28, as he teaches us to write these stories: sell our hands, and manipulate our opponents.

Here’s some of the dialog from the coach in the video’s thread:

Question: How often do you make a play based on a hand you’ve seen occur between other players?

Answer: The only time I’ll make those kinds of adjustments would be if I thought someone was tilted after losing a hand. It’s really tough to make reads based on hands other people play with each other because it’s tough to gauge what their history was up until that time, or if they are on other tables with each other that I don’t know about. There are some situations where I will make cold 4bets against someone who I perceive to be 3betting too light or something like that though. I make these types of reads against fish all the time.
