On the Twitter Lowdown, there hasn’t been a whole lot going on this week, up until we heard more about the Durrrr Challenge. Right now Tom Dwan and Daniel Cates are battling it out, but like the last challenge, it is really starting to drag out. “It’d be cool if it would have a certain number of hands per week,” commented host Jon Friedberg. “Whatever it is, there is so little organization to it and the last challenge didn’t even conclude before this one began. It’s fun to watch and I enjoy it, but I wish there would be more organization to it to make it easier for us to follow.”

Friedberg did talk to Dan “jungleman12” Cates coming on to The Showdown, where he verbally agreed to be on in the near future.

On the VoteDown, Friedberg asked our viewers if deal making should be allowed in live tournaments. He also expressed his opinion that he feels that deal making should not be allowed, at least beyond the final table. However, the viewers’ feedback was that the players should be able to make a deal whenever they feel like it during a tournament.

This time around, Jon Friedberg wants to know if you feel that sunglasses should be allowed in live poker tournaments. Should they be allowed or banned at this upcoming WSOP, so be sure to have your opinion be known through Twitter @JonFriedberg or via email at jonfriedberg@gmail.com. Our host will let you know his take on next week’s show.

The guest this week is Jason Koon, a budding tournament pro who is coming off a huge score at the WPT Festa al Lago, which will air on Fox Sports Net during this Season IX run of the WPT. He also won over $460,000 thanks to a huge online tournament score.

During the interview, Friedberg finds out how Koon got into competitive poker, how he developed his game and what his secrets are to immense poker success.
