Titan Poker is offering the opportunity to participate in the tournaments that will be hosted at the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall, England. The tourneys are part of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour tournament series that will be taking place across the UK.
The festivities will start of February 20th and will extend until February 28th, the main event will be hosted from February 25th -28th. All Titan Poker players will be offered the opportunity to win one of the packages available through the many satellites that will be running around the clock.
Each package is worth €1,800 and it includes the €1,070 buy-in to the main event, €355 that will provide five night’s accommodations at the Village Hotel, €30 for registration fees and around €345 for traveling expenses.
There will be a weekly €66 super satellite that will be hosted on Mondays at 8 pm GMT and during the week a bunch of stage one satellites will be hosted starting at €3. The stage two turbo satellites that will allow re-buys and add-ons will be hosted daily at 13:15 GMT. Stage two Sit & Go satellites will be hosted around the clock.
The GUKPT has been running for the past three years and 2010 will mark the fourth run of the tourney series. The first time around there was a total of ten legs, the grand final attracted 199 players and the prize pool was just a little short of €200K.
For ’08 there was a total of nine legs plus the grand final and in addition an Online Festival and Grosvenor Grand Prix were added. There was a total of 184 players registered for the main event and the winner was Paul Foltyn for €167K.
In ’09 the same nine legs took place and the grand final as well but several other tournaments were added to the line-up as a summer series. For 2010 the same tourneys will take place and there will be thousands of euros at stake.
