In an announcement on April 22, 2010, Titan Poker unveiled the latest member of Team Titan: Sorel ‘Imper1um’ Mizzi. Sorel has long since been an online poker superstar, with victories in PokerStars’ Sunday Warm-Up for $80K as well as two Full Tilt Series of Online Poker titles. On the live tournament circuit, Mizzi has a third place finish at the 2007 Paddy Power Irish Open for $280K, a third place finishing at the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe $5K Pot Limit Omaha for $240K, and a $253K cash for second in the 2009 WSOP Pot Limit Omaha.
More recently, Mizzi took third at the 2010 Aussie Millions Poker Championship for $659K. He followed that up by winning an event at the European Poker Tour Snowfest for $95K and the Borgata Spring Poker Open for $170K. In addition to his $1 million plus in online winnings, Sorel has over $2.5 million in live tournament earnings.
In other Titan Poker news, the Titan Turbo promotion will begin in May. Every week, there will be a freeroll for the top Titan Poker Point earners. Additionally, any Bronze level player who wins the Titan Turbo weekly prize or the $10K Cash race will be awarded double the prize amount.
