Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker have put together the fourth edition of the UBOC tournaments, and the players’ response has been great. The final events will follow in the next days and there will be $1.3 million guaranteed at stake.

This past weekend was the first $1 million guaranteed tourney and it reached a total of six hundred and twenty eight players registered which boosted the prize pool to $1.57 million. The $2.5K 6-max event was hosted by Phil Hellmuth and Joe Sebok. Due to the large influx of players the top six places ended with profits in the six digits. Ultimate Bet Pro Liv Boeree was the only sponsored player that reached the money positions.

The players that made the final table at the $2.5K six-max event were Philbort, Groengras, Git Paper, Sebbau, Dooshdotcom1 and Upay4rhinos. When play started Philbort was the chip leader, he stayed on top as play progressed and players started to bust out. The two last men standing were two German players: Sebbau and Philbort paused play to try to reach a deal, by that time Sebbau was the chip leader and his offer was quite generous, which made Philbort accept the deal and resume play for $40K that was put aside. Sebbau ended winning the side pot and his total earnings increased to $330K, his heads-up opponent ended with $250K.

For this upcoming weekend the UBOC events will have a No Limit Hold’em tourney with unlimited re-buys and a $100K guaranteed prize pool. The spotlight will definitely be on the championship event which will take place on Sunday at 4 pm, the event will be played in two days and a $1 million prize pool is guaranteed.
