Once again, as a public service reminder, we hear at Poker News Daily are watching this so you can utilize your summer schedule accordingly!
After a week sitting back in the shadows – but still in firm control of the game – poker player Vanessa Rousso continues to have a significant effect on the CBS reality show Big Brother.
Rousso, who came off being the Head of Household the previous week, had two members of her alliance in that place over the past week. Liz and Shelli were the choices for Head of Household and, following the “Battle of the Block,” Shelli would emerge as the only Head of Household. As such, the two people who were nominated by Liz would be put up for eviction, including a player that somehow had moved through the competition without facing the axe.
One of Liz’s nominees was the transgender Audrey, who had pretty much offended every other member of the household but had not even come close to sitting in the eviction chair so far this season. Alongside John, who has become the “whipping boy” for those who want to put someone out of the house and need a second player to fill out the second seat (and be safe from elimination), Audrey had very little chance but she pretty much ensured her downfall from her actions during the week.
First off, Audrey wouldn’t take part in the punishment for having lost the “Battle of the Block,” something that is verboten in the Big Brother annals. Usually, when a player is subjected to a punishment, they don’t normally like what the punishment is but do it in the spirit of the game. In this case, Audrey simply withdrew from the other houseguests, perhaps knowing what her fate was going to be and deciding not to even try to buy some hope for staying around the Big Brother house from her fellow houseguests.
When it came down to the vote, it was a bloodbath. For the first time this season, the entirety of the house voted against one of their own, sending Audrey out of the house by a 10-0 margin.
Rousso would put her name back into the story during the competition for the next Head of Household selections. In that HoH competition, Rousso was able to work her way to one of the two seats for the second time this season. Instead of the Rousso Alliance taking the second seat (which would have been the third week in a row of control by the group), Jackie – who lost her compatriot in Jeff two weeks ago at the hands of the Rousso Alliance and has basically been nonexistent in the operations and machinations around the house – emerged as the holder of the second seat.
There’s plenty on the line for Rousso over the course of the next week. If she is able to win the overall Head of Household seat from the “Battle of the Block” on Wednesday night, then the power of the Rousso Alliance would be firmly set; between Rousso, Austin, Shelli, Clay, Liz and her sister Julia (who would join the game with the next elimination on Thursday night), the Rousso Alliance would control six of the ten players remaining in the game and, for all purposes, be able to dominate until said Alliance would have to turn against each other. It would also give them control on the jury should any non-Alliance member slip through to the final two players.
Can Rousso drive her Alliance to a position of control in the house? And is Rousso positioning herself to have the best shot at the $500,000 that goes to the winner? There will be plenty of activity over the next week whether Rousso earns the Head of Household on Big Brother or not.
Vanessa with her slow witted mouth open looks has to be dumber than Clay to leave Austin in the house over Jason or any other player. Her original alliance still had the numbers if Austin was voted with the twins coming in Thursday. Vanessa acts like she does not have a mind of her own e.g. Always deferring to Shay (Shelli and Clay name contraction) . Vanessa said she values truth and has a disdain for lies, but what did she do? She promised to send home Austin and then went back on her word. The perfect example of a lie. I am so done with BB17. I hope Vanessa does not win. This cast is weird and have the worst game -play I have seen.
