The World Poker Tour (WPT) has released part of the second half of the Season XVII WPT Main Tour schedule, in other words, part of the 2019 portion of this season. A total of ten tour stops have been announced, including the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions, which will be held June 1st through June 3rd at the ARIA Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas.

Notably absent from the list of events are the L.A. Poker Classic and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything, as according to the World Poker Tour’s wording, this isn’t the complete second half schedule. Details with any unlisted venues are probably still being finalized.

Several of the events will be part of a new schedule structure: a delayed final table, not unlike what used to be the November Nine of the World Series of Poker. The final six players in select events will meet several weeks later at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at Luxor Hotel & Casino, a $25 million venue that has already hosted the WPT Bellagio Elite Poker Championship $25,000 High Roller final table and WPT Tournament of Champions final tables.

No dates have been given as to when those delayed final tables will be contested.

“The World Poker Tour is proud to announce more events to our growing Season XVII WPT Main Tour calendar,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska in a press release. “In addition to the great events on the schedule, the WPT looks forward to the first of this season’s final tables to be played at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at Luxor Hotel & Casino. In partnership with our sister company, Allied Esports, and backed by the support of Ourgame, we are thrilled to host the best final tables in poker at Esports Arena.”

VP of Global Tour Management Angelica Hael added, “Our players and casino partners deserve the brightest spotlight poker has to offer and what better way to give them that than inside the new official home of poker at the HyperX Esports Arena. The WPT is excited to work with our Esports Arena final tablists to provide a true superstar VIP experience.”
