According to Poker News Daily, Joe McKeehen returned to the winner’s circle on August 12 by winning the $5,300 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship in Hollywood, Florida. The victory came 11 years after his World Series of Poker Main Event title and paid him $462,600 from a 673-entry field that built a $3,262,704 prize pool.
Poker News Daily reported that the final table included Loni Hui and Darren Rabinowitz, who was coming off a WSOP bracelet win. Hui was knocked out in third place for $250,000 when McKeehen’s pocket queens held against her pocket eights, and McKeehen went on to defeat David Greufe heads-up, leaving Greufe with $390,804 for second.
Poker News Daily also highlighted a rare series-wide achievement: three different players each won four events during the festival, which the outlet said was unprecedented in a single SHRP series. Yuval Bronshtein was one of them, earning $18,432 in the $800 Deep Stack Big O on August 10 and another $9,535 in the $600 T.O.E. on August 11; Poker News Daily said those results moved him to 18 career SHRP titles, second on the all-time list. Jean Laurent matched the four-win mark as well, while Raminder Singh was the first to reach four titles during the series and still holds the overall SHRP record with 20, according to Poker News Daily.
Poker News Daily noted several other festival results, including Justin Zaki’s August 10 win in Event #56, the $25,400 Big 4 High Roller, for $391,550 after a 40-entry turnout. The outlet also reported that Mehmet Siginc earned $92,017 in the $3,000 Big 4 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em through a three-way chop, and that McKeehen’s tournament winnings on Hendon Mob now top $22 million.
Poker News Daily also pointed to a strong showing from South Florida’s Robert Mizrachi, who won the $600 Deep Stack Big O on July 29 for $15,605. The outlet said Mizrachi, a five-time WSOP bracelet winner, cashed 13 times at the 2026 WSOP and made two final tables, including a third-place finish worth $185,282 in the $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed event.
