One of the most popular live tournaments will be hosted a few days after the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure ends. The Aussie Millions will extend for 17 days and there will be a total of twenty tournaments available and millions of dollars in prize pools. The buy-ins range from $1K – $100K.

The tournament organization expects a field of ten thousand players which will make a $10 million prize pool. First place prize will be $2 million just like the first place prize awarded to the 2009 Aussie Millions Champion Stewart Scott.

The Aussie Millions grew into the massive event that it is now after several years of hard work. The first $1 million prize was given away in 2005 just two years after the first Aussie Millions tournament in 03. Jamil Dia was the first player to win a $1 million prize. As the event kept growing the Aussie Millions started to increase the prize pool, until it reached $2 million for the first time in 09.

Players have added the Aussie Millions to their live tournament schedule because of the great prizes that are up for grabs and because of its world-wide prestige. They also want the exposure that is given to the top players in the tournament. The important TV brand Fox Sports Net broadcasts the main event internationally to many countries around the world.

Cake Poker will be giving all their players the opportunity to earn a seat to the Aussie Millions, and each package will include the main event buy-in, a ten night stay at the luxurious Crown Promenade Hotel, $1 500 for travel expenses and much more.
