Ever wanted to go to the Super Bowl? How about the World Cup championship game? What about Wimbledon? Or maybe the Olympics? This week, PokerStars launched a promotion called the Game of Your Life to send players to sporting events on their bucket lists.
Text found on PokerStars explains what you have to look forward to: “Play the Game of Your Life for the chance to win a trip to any sporting event, anywhere in the world, with everything taken care of by PokerStars. There’s also $1,000,000 in cash to be won and it’s all free to play.”
The promotion consists of six Freeroll Finals to be held on April 17th, April 24th, May 1st, May 8th, May 15th, and May 22nd. The first five Freeroll Finals will shell out $100,000 in cash, while the Grand Final on May 22nd will send its winner to the sporting event of their choice. Separate qualifiers exist for PokerStars players located in the Americas and in the rest of the world.
Five times per day, players can qualify via freerolls where the top 108 finishers will advance to one of the Freeroll Finals. Again, freeroll qualifiers are held for players in the Americas and the rest of the world, so you’ll be competing against opponents in your own part of the globe. PokerStars members who are awarded tickets to a weekly Freeroll Final will be able to register for any one of the six tournaments they choose.
If you have a few Frequent Player Points, or FPPs, sitting around, then put them to good use in five daily freeroll qualifiers with buy-ins of 10 FPPs. The top 67 on the leaderboard in these tournaments will move on to a $100,000 Freeroll Final. All qualifiers run daily until May 21st, which is 24 hours before the last Freeroll Final.
The May 22nd Freeroll Final will send its champion on the trip of a lifetime. In fact, the prize package is valued at $100,000. The winner can invite as many friends as they’d like and any sporting event anywhere in the world is fair game. Players who fall short of the jackpot aren’t out of luck, either, as $10,000 in cash will be divided among the top finishers.
Two separate Freeroll Finals are held each week. The Americas Freeroll Final will take place at 16:00 ET each Sunday, while its counterpart for the rest of the world will occur at 10:00 ET.
But wait, there’s more! If your bankroll is in need of a shot in the arm, there are two bonuses associated with the Game of Your Life promotion at PokerStars.
For those players without accounts at the world’s largest online poker site, you can sign up for PokerStars using the code GOYLFDB and deposit a minimum of $10. Not only will you get the standard 100% up to $600 first time deposit bonus, but you’ll also be credited with a ticket to the Freeroll Final of your choice, including the Grand Final on May 22nd.
For those who already have a PokerStars account, you can reload using the code GOYLRELOAD for a minimum of $50. Only one reload per player is permitted and, when you do so, you’ll get a ticket to the Freeroll Final of your choice, including the Grand Final on May 22nd.
Players are permitted to enter one freeroll per week and the tickets aren’t transferable. If you happen to win the Game of Your Life grand prize, you’ll have 12 months to use it.
