The confrontation between Joan Rivers and Annie Duke was taken to a new level on this week’s episode of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. Joan’s daughter, Melissa Rivers, took the fall as a result of her team’s loss, leading the elder Rivers to label all poker players “trash” and call Duke a Nazi in a profanity-laced tirade. Note that this article contains language that is not suitable for all audiences.

Previous episodes have been highlighted by Joan Rivers comparing Duke to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. This week’s task challenged the teams to create a four-page spread in Sports Illustrated (SI) for Right Guard Fast Break. Each ad would prominently feature New York Knicks Power Forward David Lee, a rising star in the NBA. Because of last week’s loss, Kotu was down to just two members. Show host Donald Trump sent West Coast Choppers CEO Jesse James to the team, which ultimately chose country music star Clint Black to be its Project Manager. Playboy Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick became Project Manager of the all-female team Athena, which featured Duke and the younger Rivers, who is a producer by trade.

Melissa Rivers immediately threw out ideas for the spread, but was given the cold shoulder by Duke and Roderick, who had formed a bond during recent installments of the popular reality series. Duke told NBC cameras, “Melissa came up with some cockamamie idea. This isn’t for Redbook. This isn’t for some women’s magazine. This is for SI. Men read SI. If that’s her main idea she’s going to offer up, she’s going to be cut out of the process.” Duke devised the idea of shooting Lee entirely nude with a basketball covering his private parts. The idea was later tweaked to include only the waist up. The shot would be paired with a tagline reminding readers that Right Guard was the only thing Lee needed to wear.

The younger Rivers’ annoyance with Roderick and Duke continued to build throughout the episode. She explained, “The way Annie talks and the rudeness and the sense of entitlement and thinking that she’s so much better than everybody else – That annoys me. Annie is beyond arrogant.” Meanwhile, her opponents, Kotu, met with Right Guard executives, who emphasized the importance of the “power stripe,” an important branding element. For Athena, this component of the product was not discussed on air.

Duke created a four-page spread showing a typical day in Lee’s life. Each shot showed the NBA star being comfortable and, more importantly, being dry. Melissa Rivers commented, “Brande thinks she’s in charge of the task, but it’s clearly Annie. Annie is totally manipulating Brande.” The tension in Athena paralleled the strife in Kotu, where Black chose to run with his own ideas, as has been the case in previous episodes. James created the concept of showing how Lee, a small-town kid from Missouri, entered the high-pressure New York City NBA market. While Black incorporated parts of James’ vision, he still brushed off others, leading the motorcycle enthusiast to become detached throughout the episode. He could regularly be seen staring at his Apple computer.

Athena went to a local club to shoot images for its spread. Melissa Rivers directed the photography, but Duke commented, “I think Melissa knows she’s the odd man out, but frankly I don’t need to conspire against Melissa. I think Melissa is doing a good job of conspiring against herself.” James was equally unhappy, stating in a side interview during the task, “Clint sucks. The ad’s cheesy. The layout’s cheesy. The photos are cheesy. It’s a bummer.”

Duke attempted to make Melissa Rivers feel more at home on the team. However, she later told NBC cameras, “Brande told me that Melissa was having a paranoid fantasy about us conspiring against her, so I tried to make sure I was pulling her in privately. It absolutely made it seem like I wasn’t on Brande’s side. Playing cards is all about game theory, managing your opponents, and trying to figure out very logical strategies to counteract. There are ways to manipulate your competitors.” Duke then checked in with the Kotu, attempting to gauge her adversaries’ moods. Joan Rivers, who was seated next to James at the time, critiqued, “Annie plays people so brilliantly. She’s so despicable. She’s so duplicitous. I can’t wait for her to get her first facelift because she’s going to need two doctors.”

James’ frustrations finally boiled over. In the waning hours of the night, he told Black that he disapproved of the team’s final project. The conversation was highlighted by James telling the country superstar, “You need to pack your shit and go home.” The star of CNBC’s “Mad Money,” Jim Cramer, who served as Trump’s eyes and ears during the episode, then visited Athena. His stay included Duke pointing out various areas of the task that she was responsible for, which included branding and the team’s presentation. Cramer was impressed by Duke’s positioning: “I think that Annie set it up so that if they lose, Annie doesn’t take the bullet. It’s a rather remarkable position to be able to take credit for the good, but certainly not be hit if they don’t win.” Duke gave Athena’s presentation to the Right Guard executives, while Black explained Kotu’s message. In the end, the executives sided with Kotu, sending Duke and Athena to the boardroom.

In the boardroom, Ivanka Trump questioned why Roderick delegated the key elements of the task to Duke. The World Series of Poker bracelet winner told the panel, “I doubt that there’s anyone in this game who wants to win more than I do.” While watching from the team’s suite, Kotu’s Joan Rivers quipped, “You’re damn right. You’ll bury your mother for it.” In the middle of the boardroom, Trump passed a note to Cramer, whispered to him, and then reminded the contestants that raising money for charity would mean a considerable amount in the later stages of Celebrity Apprentice. Duke and Roderick are the number one and two fundraisers on the show to date, respectively, leaving Trump to fire the younger Rivers.

The dismissal ignited a melee among Duke, Roderick, and the Rivers family. Joan Rivers told her team, “You have a Nazi and a follower. I don’t work with scum.” Instead of exiting the building immediately, as is customary, Melissa Rivers instead fled to her mother, telling off Celebrity Apprentice staff in the process. To two producers, she stated, “Fuck you. Fuck you. I’m not doing an interview.” Between the edited profanity, the words “whore” and “pit vipers” were clearly audible. Passing Duke and Roderick in the hallway, Melissa Rivers greeted, “Fuck you both. Goodbye.”

Joan Rivers, who was packing her belongings to leave as well, told Duke and Roderick, respectively, “You are a piece of shit. You are a stupid blonde.” Joan Rivers then fired a shot across the bow of poker players everywhere, stating, “Your people give money with blood on it. I met your people in Las Vegas. None of them have last names. You’re a poker player. A poker player! That’s beyond white trash. Poker players are trash, darling, trash.” Both Rivers entered an elevator and left Trump Towers, with Melissa Rivers shouting, “Lying fucking whores.”

Next Sunday, the final five (or four if Joan Rivers has truly quit the show) return at 9:00pm ET on NBC.

Melissa was a little whiny, but I can see why. If I was in her situation I would do the exact same thing. I thought she was a very hard worker and didn’t seem too personable but contributed great ideas. She was pretty rude at the end but come to think of it, I would be SO PISSED if I were her, and I bet she regrets swearing at the producers.

I hated, hated, hated Annie. Joan’s line “when she gets her first facelift, she’s going to need two doctors” was HILARIOUS. Joan was my favorite and I agreed with everything she said, she was so funny and spot on about Annie, even though some of her comments were really harsh. Too bad Joan and Melissa are both gone, the show is going to be boring now because everyone left is either bitchy or dumb. I think Trump kept Brande around because she’s pretty, which is completely unfair. Did you hear the word “forgoo” come out of her mouth? That’s not even a word!!! And as to Annie, while she plays the game very well, she manipulates everyone else, takes control every time, sucks up to Trump and is overall such a snake.

  2. PJ says:

After watching this season of The Celebrity Apprentice, I have respect for Melissa and none for Annie Duke. Annie Duke failed to emotionally evolve after junior high. Melissa has had great ideas the whole season, and was tossing out good ideas last night, but Brandie (um, manipulated airhead) and Annie could not grow up enough to actually listen to her ideas and give them merit. Heck, Annie has pretty much had her way the entire time.

Annie might be winning at the Celebrity Apprentice, but at what cost? There’s something to be said for respect and personal integrity. Haven’t we all been frustrated by a situation where the nice guy did indeed finish last? THAT is where Melissa’s frustrations came from; Annie is a two-faced snake who will do anything or say anything to win. She bullied her “friends” into donating money for crappy jewelry; she’s verbally abusive to her “friends”. If you have a personal moral code and a sense of integrity, it is very frustrating to watch someone move ahead who has no moral code or integrity. Melissa and Joan do not like two-faced people, which is exactly what Annie is. Take your pick: either you’re the kind that thinks that when someone says something bad about someone it should be said behind their back (Annie); or you think that you should say your piece to someone’s face (Melissa and Joan). If you support Annie, you support backstabbing behavior, plain and simple.

  3. Howard says:

I like Joan, and understand the reasoning behind lashing out at poker players because of her experience with Annie. But it’s very discouraging to us poker players, because the duplicity that Annie displays isn’t a trait of a poker player, it’s a trait of someone of low character. Annie is unscrupulous, as she’s displayed from her association with Cereus Poker. Imagine if they had someone like Barry Greenstein on instead. He would never stoop to those levels.

However, Melissa is overly sensitive, and she stooped really low with all her profanity-laced tirade which would get her kicked out of any poker room I’ve been in. I’m rooting for Jesse, and hoping Joan comes back next week. Clint is Clint, and Brande is eye-candy, who’s getting attacked as if she’s mentally disabled. She might not have Annie’s brains, but she doesn’t come off as the dumb bimbo that some people in the show are trying to portray her as.

As for Trump, I think it shows the direction of this show. It’s designed for pure entertainment, and his criteria for firings have reach a point of randomness in regards to the task at hand. The entertainment value a contestant brings is becoming a more valuable asset, so as a viewer, I’ve learned to lower my expectations when it comes to Trump’s firing. It’s about entertainment dollars.

  4. Marilyn says:

I have been a faithfull viewer of Celebrity Apprentice ever since it started….but I have to say I most certainly disagreed with Mr. Trump on his “firing” techiques last nite. Terrible…and in poor taste Donald! I thought you had more class! Wouldn’t it be nice if all Mothers and Daughters stuck up for each other and watched each others backs the way Joan and Melissa do?… Of course Melissa was p.o’d…who wouldn’t be? She was treated like she had leprosy by both Brande and Annie throughout the entire project. Also…Mr. Jesse James…who the h*** do you think you are? Sheesh! ..my husband always said you were a guy with lots of integrity and some guts….but turns out you’re really “stuck on yourself” and only your ideas will suffice….nothing else will do??? Grow up. not everyone else with an idea of their own is “stupid”..Quit being such a whiney pouter. The show will surely slide now that Joan Rivers has opted out of it…..too bad. It was really getting good!

  5. Anonymous says:

I cant stand the Rivers Whiners. Annie is playing the damn game, people, get over it! It is supposed to be about getting money for their charities, it is not supposed to be personal!
I think Annie and Jesse should be the final two.

  6. Linda says:

I am so disappointed!! The show was so good until Melissa was fired! The best senerio would have been to fire Brande (she is a wimp and a total follower) and put Melissa and Annie together, or, better yet, Joan and Annie. But now, you have Annie and Brande….how boring is that!! Annie is the most unlikeable person I have ever seen. She is a BITCH, a liar, and a back stabber!!. She took it out on Mellisa because of her dislike for Joan.
I just can’t express how disappointed I am in Donald Trump and that goon that sits with him. For the good of the show, he fired the wrong person.
I love Joan, but her choice of words for Annie was wrong. She offended a whole group of people….she should have just gone after Annie. But, Joan is so loyal and honest…she has NO tolerance for back stabbers and liars like Annie.

  7. Anonymous says:

Melissa may not have responded to the firing with any class…but she was correct in what she said in the boardroom. It looked like “high school” so I am sure it felt that way!

  8. PaloAlto says:

Melissa Rivers juvenile spoiled snotty behavior last night made her look like a complete idiot. Heck, I cringed, and it wasn’t me, or my daughter. Thank God! Grow up. Hate the game, not the players. Though how a person could hate a game that raises money for charity is beyond me. Melissa simply didn’t raise enough. If Melissa was as bright as I thought she was going in, and as familiar with television producing as she claims to be; she would know she was being filmed at all times. At 41 years old her display of histrionics combined with incessant whining the last few weeks perhaps show a pattern that worked for her all her life? In the end she looked completely ridiculous, taking all the sting out of her words by running about like a one legged chicken and screeching like a howler monkey. Mama Rivers did what any mother would do if she believed her child was target or bullied….wait, did I say CHILD? Joan, Melissa is 41, cut the cord already! Her spoiled rant shows she hasn’t grown up! The article was incorrect, Joan and Annie have not always been at odds, that has happened over the last few weeks. Bottom line, if you are a sore loser, then don’t play the game! Hey Melissa, you are what you scream! As to Trump, he hired these celebrities based on their personal foibles, did you really think he didn’t anticipate this? Gimme a break. Made for riveting TV on an otherwise boring Sunday Night lineup. Piers Morgan was portrayed as an evil monster, he is actually quite a lovely and charitable man. His thing is he doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Have you looked up Annie’s background? No fool, that woman. Maybe Melissa should have done her research before going into this game on her opponents, know what she was up against. Since when is Celebrity Apprentice a popularity game? Melissa wasn’t ‘blocked’ out, she sat around and pouted and made herself generally unpleasant to be around. That phone call she whined about being ‘secretive’? IT WAS ON A SPEAKER PHONE!!!!! How much of a secret is that? Gimme a break. She is a spoiled brat and a whiner, I liked her a lot going in, have lost a lot of respect for her now.

When did the boardroom make decisions based on past projects or someone’s resume of experience and/or wins? I thought the whole point of the boardroom was to grade performance on the project just completed? I don’t get it – Brande and Annie raised a great deal of money on those previous episodes because that is what they were assigned to do + they were good at it, not to metion they volunteered for the task. That does not mean that the other team members were sitting around doing nothing – because of the work of the other team members, they had the luxury to do what they knew they were good at and leave the deails and leg work to be handled by their team mates. Based on all of the shows that I saw, Melissa did a good job, showing iniative, picking up the ball and making things happen. This is the first show that I think the “firing” was turly unfair. Bottom line, Melissa was fired because of the ability of the other 2 to raise money in previous episodes and that was not part of this task. Brande appears to be a lovely lady but for this project – she is the one that should have gotten the boot – she was the project manager and it appears that Melissa’s ideas were not given any consideration. Donald, luv ya, luv ya, but can’t agree with this one.

  10. Mariann Pepitone says:

I watched the show last night for the first time. I love Joan Rivers because she tells it like it is and the truth is always behind what she says. I don’t like the poker player because I believe she schemes and for a professional poker player why does she want to work for Trump. Is it because she wants to become respectable now. Isn’t she making enough money gambling? Joan River was trying to smarten up that blonde who don’t have the brains to think but she didn’t want to listen. Well, she better be on her toes Sunday because the poker player is quite underhanded and will do anything or say anything to win. She is one of Satan’s worker’s so you know how evil she can be. It is written all over her.

  11. cool gal says:

Trump is losing objectivity in this show and its no longer about the right thing to do. I cant stand Annie and Brande – they are both BORING – one is a dumb bimbo and the other is a conniving self centered B**** who gives poker players a VERY bad name! Joan was the only entertaining factor in the show and she was always trying to save her team and come up with ideas. I think she is quite smart and has a great on screen personality. I would rather watch her on the show than any of the others. I hope she comes back or else I dont care to watch the rest of the idiots fight it out to raise money by backstabbing for GOOD causes. Very hypocritical! They want to win and they will use any tactic to get money from thier friends. Is that really what charity means?
This show sucks and all the players are just plain boring or conniving!!! I have to admit that Clint definitely has improved and he will leave the show a better person.

  12. WhrPitViper says:

Annie Duke is doing great. Very smart play. Raising a grip of cash for charity. The Rivers are so personal on there attacks I can’t believe anyone would like them after they have exposed themselves for who they are. “She’s a Pah kah playah” like its a bad thing…wtf??? and to all you that say you won’t watch anymore, know you will be the first ones to tune in…its to crazy not to and you know it!!!! Joan Rivers started her career attacking and making fun of elizabeth taylor…that’s what she does and what people do when they feel inferior to someone.

  13. Sands and Riv. Era says:

I love Joan Rivers when I used to hang out with my 21 playing parents at the Sands .I would go to her shows at other hotels..I met her once in and she could have not been kinder.. a story was out that when her husband (Eager)was on his death bed she saw another woman crying in the hall she went up and put her arm around her and spoke with her….as shown on the show she has a heart..I think that the Duke whore is jealous of the intact mother daughter team … she is a piece of shit that came from a piece of shit family ..yes they had education..but come on her father was a teacher for a prep school with no money surrounded by tons of money her mother was a drinker and even to this day she and her sister don’t speak..the woman is a slut ..I fully believe what goes around comes around ..she will get hers ..believe me and in the family draw she already has!

  14. Summit N.J. says:

P.S. Who ever said that Donald had taste? Look at his hair!! I love Jim Cramer he is so funny..but I can’t stand that he folded under Donald’s note..give me a break what did it say for higher ratings fire little Rivers girl and he is a friend of Joan’s?? Joan’s daughter acted in a horrible way..but I think being stuck with those 2 low class whores can drive anyone crazy. I will never watch this show again…first I couldn’t believe how he fired the young girl who had to go to an AA meeting then and not little Rivers and not Brandie or Whore Annie Duke?? If I were the Donald’s wife I would keep him close he most likely wants to do the two of them if he hasn’t already!

Some ugly is so deep no amount of plactic surgery will cover it.

  16. Paul says:

Poor little immature Melissa. One down one to go. Now they both have time to get more surgery. What a pair of no talent losers. Way to go Donny!

  17. Randy says:

trashy mouths serves em right. nobody wins with mouths like that

  18. Mr. Trump says:

YOU PEOPLE… MELISSA WAS NOT THE PERSON TRUMP WAS GOING TO FIRE…. HOWEVER. MELISSA INTERRUPTED TRUMP WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO SPEAK IN THE BOARD ROOM. ANY EMPLOYEE KNOWS YOU DO NOT DISRESPECT THE BOSS. THIS IS WHY MELISSA WAS FIRED TONIGHT INSTEAD OF BRANDE.

THE RIVERS HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES.

  19. PAZAZZ says:

Everybody knows that there is an accepted “standard of behavior” FOR US ALL when debating & communicating with our neighbor. This standard has its root in CHARITY, FAIRNESS & ORDER. When these disciplines are not taught and cultivated during one’s childhood, all we can expect to witness is banal, childish behavior during one’s adulthood. I call this BAD PARENTING!

If we teach SELF-CONTROL, we can throw out ROBERTS RULES OF ORDER.
If we teach RESPECT FOR ONE’S NEIGHBOR, we can throw out CRUEL & HARMFUL WORDS.
If we teach LOVE OF GOD, we can LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR AS OURSELVES.

  20. Lou says:

The Joan makes every difference and disagreement personal. She has no class.

  21. Lee says:

I’d like to see what Trump passed to his buddy? Hey if you vote for the Blonde I can get you a bunny………….No wonder his eyes popped out!!!! Ya Brandi is a dumb Blonde and Annie is exactly how Joan described her. Too bad Trump was thinking from his other brain…..

  22. Audrey M says:

The Rivers m/d team are pathetic drama queens. They stupidly play the Jewish card (calling Annie Hitler) yet Annie is Jewish herself. THIS IS A GAME PEOPLE. Everyone before Melissa has lost with some dignity, realizing the program for what it is – a way to raise money for charities. I doubt that if any of the others had been eliminated, you would have seen anything close to that drama. Melissa is a horrible spoiled brat; her mother is way below white trash.

  23. Evs says:

Are you kidding me? IT”S A GAME THE SHOW IS A GAME AS IN NOT REAL LIFE AS IN ANYTHING GOES as long as it doesn’t break the rules of the game. And what Annie did, was not breaking any rules.

BTW, do any of the Rivers’ supporters realize that this is REALITY TV. Ever think that maybe the director of the show made it LOOK like Annie and Brande were teaming up against Melissa? Melissa is obviously insecure and nuts. She was borderline manic depressive. It’s hilarious that some people here think that they’re playing high school with Rivers.

As for Joan, really? I mean c’mon really? Comparing Annie Duke to hitler? That ridiculous. You know it, I know it we all know it. Annie is two faced, OMG on a REALITY TV GAME GAME GAME! Anyone who thinks otherwise should jump in front of a truck! This is TV, pure entertainment that’s it! Stop living off of it.

  24. Amazed says:

Johnny Carson made Joan Rivers a success. She repaid him with a knife in the back. When her sick husband needed her support she walked out to have her belly fat sucked out. She lives with that guilt. She earns a living with an acid tongue and foul mouth directed at people who are more talented and beautiful because it fills the void where her lost soul should be. I pity Joan. Even Andrew Dice Clay showed real class and dignity after he was fired. Go figure. Melissa and Joan are miles beneath the Diceman. Amazing! The Diceman! These two women are in desparate need of therapy. I wish them well and will remember them in my prayers. Their hateful tirade tainted the noble cause of the Show. Shameful and embarassing, I am still in shock.
Joan, Good luck, on your next appearance in Vegas if you can get a booking.

  25. Faye says:

Poker players should never give money away because it’s dirty money and I believe it’s because of guilt that they give money away.

  26. Kenny says:

I just read the above quote from ” Amazed “. Amazed is really an extremely smart and intuitive person

  27. SirKetchALOT says:

Joan Rivers owes the entire POKER PLAYING community a formal PUBLIC apology!!! I think we need to get a petition going for this! If we could get a few hundred names from poker players demanding her apologize, I bet it would embarass the crap out of her!!!

  28. Ronnie says:

How is poker money dirty? That doesn’t make any sense. I gamble/invest for a living (more sports betting than poker, but poker is a good stream of income), and I am involved in my church as well as my community. I don’t donate money and time out of guilt, why would I feel guilty? That I don’t have a nine to five and I don’t hate my job? My job is hard, and I have to grind it out day by day, but the freedom of making your own way is amazing.

As far as the show goes, Annie is great, she plays very well. The Rivers made a big scene but it was more than likely producer induced anyway. Jesse is great, I love everything he does, even his hamburger stand in Long Beach. I hope to see Annie and Jesse in the finals. Great show!!!

  29. Joyce says:

I guess Vegas won’t be welcomong Joan Rivers with open arms anymore…or will they??? Shame on her and her spoiled brat daughter

  30. Barbara Reid says:

I love poker and the poker community,so I was deeply offened by what I saw on celebrity apprentice and I know joan rivers owes the whole world an apology for the trash that spewed forth from her lying mouth. Annie Duke has played a smart game and the joan rivers has gone tilt well played Annie I am proud of you!!! keep playing your smart game and well representing poker players and the wonderful generous poker community, who I hope will rally around you and your deseving charity we are not “white trash” as joan calls us we are a diverse community with a wonderful sense of family!!

  31. Barbara Reid says:

hey what5 sirschetch alot said I agree lets get a petion going!!!

  32. Barbara Reid says:

poker players lets unite against a common enemy joan river said “all poker players are whit trash and scum” and that our money is “Blood money” I say we should do something to show Annie our support any ideas?

  33. David says:

How many poker players go to watch Las Vegas Shows? I been to Vegas for years and have never bothered to see a show.

  34. AJ Winter says:

Joan is a very bright woman, and I agree, poker players are white trash, they can’t get a job and earn real money, so they have to play some cards to win money. I hope Joan returns to get rid of Annie, she is hitle, and there’s no pint for her to be on the show, along with Brande and Clint. Also, Melissa was a very smart woman, I was so mad when she was kicked off. But then I just laughed and laughed when Joan was like, ” You’re a poker player, a poker player.” I couldn’t stop laughing by the expression on her face. Anyway, poker players are white trash, darling, they’re just white trash!

  35. AJ Winter says:

One more thing, you could never get a petition to get Joan to say sorry! You poker players are stupid to know how to make one! Stupid, white trash, idiotic, blood-covered money carriers, hitler, no-good, retarded poker players!

  36. mertz says:

it’s down to two now, and i love annie duke. she’s a game player! she’s up for anything and works damn hard for her money. i don’t think she’s a liar per say as much as a smart thinker and quick on her feet. she is all about building up her self esteem even if it means cutting someone down, but i don’t think she’s mean at all. i mean everyone in the game got along with her (even though she was headstrong like some other people in the game) EXCEPT FOR THE CRAZY RIVERS SHE-DEVILS :P. i think jaon an melissa rivers are hilarious to laugh at but i don’t think i could ever be their friend or stand them because they have behaviour that repels decency. i can’t believe the amount of females writing comments saying bullshit about annie duke and agreeing with ms joan rivers HATEFUL comments on national television, even if it’s so called reality television. it’s a f’n game, and annie is the best player and probably will win/deserves to win. i don’t think the way she has gone about the game is classless or tasteless, despite the fact that i probably don’t have the balls to play a game like this how annie’s doing it. i think she’s representing herself and her charity and i’m sure the show has been edited to make exagerate some of the situations. i was excited when i heard who was on the show because i knew it would come down to joan and annie being the best competitors and i was right. i still love annie, poker, poker players, comedy and comediennes, but i have lost all respect for joan rivers and that loser hubris she calls her daughter. i understand blood is thicker than water, but does that relationship allow you to be a complete a-hole as well. melissa rivers is going down in apprentice and tv history…oh wait i thought they had already done that with their bad tv shows and red carpet disasters.

i love how ms fish face and her daughter all lips can call annie duke white trash. do we really want to go into the history of the rivers family, because like some people have already mentioned, there is A LOT of despicable things there.

shame on all of you haters. anyone who said that firing melissa when she and her mother are the best part of the show and good for ratings are right. anyone who mentioned the rivers disrespect in the boardroom are also right. i think that the plan was to fire brandi (who’s not as intelligent as the rest of all of us, but she’s not that dumb), but ms broderick finally stood up for herself and she is right, she and annie raised the most money so far. DUH. celebrity apprentice (i’ve been watching since the beginning) is ALL about money first, completing tasks and being a good worker second. but then melissa interrupted the trump and all hell broke loose. i think piers was right on the money. THIS IS A GAME, TO RAISE THE MOST AMOUNT OF MONEY AND WIN FOR YOUR CHARITY, COMPLETE TASKS WELL, AND ALSO BE SOMEONE WHO WILL REPRESENT THE TRUMP WELL. uh and the RIVERS aren’t it. THEY ARE THE WHITE TRASH. the whole entire thing was funny. like the pot calling the kettle. i doubt annie duke is any kind like hitler, but i guess the jewish jokes and the beat me down faces the rivers have going on works for them.

and she said today she shouldn’t have called annie a nazi or hitler, but then she followed it up with another distasteful joke, and as much as i like laughing, i can sacrifice that to see annie wipe both the rivers ugly faces and behaviours in her victory. UGH!

I CAN’T BELIEVE SO MANY PEOPLE ARE LACKING IN COMMEN SENSE.

also i can’t believe i wrote that much before, but i am not jewish and this evil broad (who i kind of respected for her business savvy…but she’s a true biotch) is really tweeting about this then i have lost all hope for her and her evil spawn of a daughter. people who say this kind of shit deserve all the bad things that happens to them. i’m not a nice person, i don’t have to be, but i live a decent life and try to refrain from being like ms. joan rivers and melissa i’m 40 and want my mommy to fight my battles rivers. puh lease. give me a f’n break. this is like ahkmedinigade and all those terrorists and extreemists who say israel doesn’t need to exist and all people who aren’t muslim are sinnners and aren’t meant to be alive in this world. well sorry that the reast of us billions of people who may not agree with you are live, but let me just say facts are facts and people who trivialise them deserve a lot of the worst. i personally think that both the rivers knew that annie was the top dog (which they’ve mentioned multiple times) and felt threatned. i thought it would be down to them three. joans reaction to annie’s admirations (calling it fake) is really stupid. i even admire someone like joan rivers, and what she’s doing on the show, but her behaviour is pure garbage and piers is right again i think the whole issue was more a melissa annie thing and the daughter complained to the main she devil and of course it all went to hell. also the rivers don’t like to lose, and guess what NEITHER does annie. it shows how much they want to win and how much they are all hard workers…BUT LOSING DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE EVIL, SPITEFUL, HATERS, TRASH, CLASSLESS, etc.

    Amazed: you sound like Annie

  39. grandma says:

I support Joan Rivers. I do not agree with her name calling, however, I think what she meant was as quoted by Hitler “if you tell a lie enough, people will start believing it”. Annie is a liar, manipulator, self-serving cold opportunist. These are not the qualities that lead to excellant leadership in the business world. There is a reason that Annie leaves people she deals with furious.

Annie is not a team player, a leader, or anything but a people manipulator. I understand what Joan Rivers is saying, and hope she wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Amazed says:

    grandma,
What lie did Annie tell? You are defending a couple of nasty, spoiled, yentas. If they would stoop this low for a non profit game just imagine how low they stoop for profit. I never saw a poker player act that way in the face of defeat. Since when has civility equaled maniputalion?
As far as Joan’s name calling goes, that is how she makes her living. She is vile, crude, hurtful and beneath contempt. Never mind telling us what you think she meant to say, she said what she said. She has a very low opinion of the very people who paid for the tickets that made her wealthy. Something to think about, grandma.
Win or lose, Annie is still a Champion and knows the meaning of good sportsmanship.
Joan and Melissa have a very pronounced character flaw.

  41. Cynthia says:

Joan is a big mouth bitch, spoiled bully nightmare that is mad that she is horrible looking and no matter how much she and her horrible spoiled stupid daughter have carved off or injected in they will never be anything but toxic fuglies. She acts like a two year old, unprofessional, so stupid to “defend” her lame daughter, blaming everyone else in the entire world but who is at fault, them… and I just hope with all my heart that everyone lets the shows and advertisers know they will not put up with that sort of bullying and toxic behavior.

She is an ugly person inside and out, pure evil, HORRIBLE and I personally promise the world that I will never watch another show that has her or the thing she hatched on, will not buy anything that they have anything to do with and will take the time to let the producers and advertisers know why I am not watching. I hope you will do the same. To think that what she has done with her life, (calling people names, being critical of everything they wear or do) is so much better than playing excellent poker or being beautiful… dont make excuses for that horror, that was way over the line and she needs her big mouth shut.

  42. Marilyn says:

This is not a TEAM game, this is where ONE person wins, why dont people get that?

g-ma? why or how could you defend that shit mouthed nightmare?

  43. Marilyn says:

    BOYCOTT RIVERS, TOXIC RIVER

  44. joemomma says:

“Annie is a liar, manipulator, self-serving cold opportunist. These are not the qualities that lead to excellant leadership in the business world.”

grandma, you are deluding yourself if you think this is not exactly what businesspeople do on a daily basis.

  45. Steve says:

It is over the top for Joan Rivers to equate Annie with Hitler. Notwithstanding, Annie’s narcicism is equally over the top. It is hard to believe that anybody watching the show could state with any sincerity that they really like Annie Duke. She constantly praises herself and cannot stop trying to convince others how great she is. What mature, self respecting adult states, “I am so proud of myself” on national television? It reeks of a lack in self confidence. I hope that other people watching the show do not consider herself a representative of poker players around the world. If they do, it’s embarassing.

  46. Amazed says:

Steve……..You have to love yourself in order to love others. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Think about it. Being a Champion is never embarassing. Anyone who has ever written a resume`is guilty of self praise according to you. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will?
“Don’t be so humble – you are not that great.”
    – Golda Meir

  47. Annie is a POS says:

YES!! The look on Annies face when Trump said she was fired was priceless. She actually thought she won, that two-faced worthless excuse for a human being.

  48. sheri says:

Did you see the air/life escape her when Trump TRUMPED HER? Notice Joan went right to Annie and shook her hand? Had Annie won… “you just got beat by a poker player” YOU KNOW IT! She was mentally already out of her chair and the words were forming in her mouth when Trump’s words hit home!

  49. Barb says:

You would think at Joan’s age she would have learned to be a lady. She should not find any honor in her behaviour. I’m pretty sure that as time passes, instead of feeling any shame, she will raise up her head, know that she is better than most people and keep insisting that she played with honor. She is just one of those people who make more money than their skills and abilities deserve but she is in a profession that pays way too much for what they do. She is no better than anyone else in this world and she obviously has no clue how to behave like an adult. But she doesn’t have to, she is in “show business” and everyone knows how special the “stars” are, they are “bigger than life”. They should live in the real world! Joan should grow up before she dies.

  50. Nora says:

Joan is right about professional poker players. She should know since she was a Las Vegas entertainer for years. I find professional gamblers disgusting. They promote the gaming industry, which has destroyed many lives. Professional poker players do nothing to make the world a better place.

By allowing Annie Duke to be a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice was a new moral low. NBC is calling professional poker a “sport” and it is broadcasting poker on television, thereby promoting gambling as a way of life. The gaming industry is moving gambling futher into mainstream America with their riverboat casinos, etc. This means that people who couldn’t afford to travel to Las Vegas or Atlantic City to gamble can now go to casinos within a short driving distance of their homes to blow the weekly pay check. NBC and other television outlets have joined the gaming industry to make gambling morally acceptable.

There is no doubt that professional gamblers like Annie Duke are intelligent people. It’s too bad they’ve chosen to waste that intelligence on something as worthless as gambling.
